On November 3rd, 2016 Unrush will present the first in-house event in collaboration with the KulturRaum Zwingli-Kirche inside the impressive space in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
The idea is to extend the Unrush podcast concept into an Ambient event that focuses on the exploration of sound, architecture, and the immense acoustic possibilities of this outstanding church. This mixture is meant to create a space for a common resting experience that is free from the encumbering stresses of daily life.
The main act consists of Cologne producer Robert Babicz previewing his new ambient album "A Moment Of Loud Silence ". Furthermore, Post Scriptum & Instruō are due to perform an exclusive ambient live set for the first time, and Unrush founder and Tresor resident Mareena will open the evening with an ambient DJ Set.
The architecture of Zwingli Church provides appropriate acoustics and an idyllic framework. After extensive restoration in 2007 the church reopened and now creates a forum for art, music, culture, and history. The church has since given various artists the opportunity to present themselves in a protected space.
Unrush launched in May 2016 and has since published eight podcasts with a colorful spectrum of deep listening mixes (Ambient, Downtempo, Dub) as well as interviews with the respective artists to personal issues.
Aware of the increasingly fast-paced lifestyle that has become so ubiquitous, Unrush offers an island of relaxation away from the pulsating noise of the club.
This event is in collaboration with KulturRaum Zwingli-Kirche e.V. and SRH - Hochschule der populären Künste (hdpk)
